The Role

This role will be based at our Head Office campus in the heart of Somerset, Chard, and you will undertake a tailored 2-year programme. Your time will be spent on short term placements within the Operations Systems department, gaining experience of all Operation Systems varied support to a wide range of different departments and Users. Not only will you be working within a great team environment, but you will also be creating valuable solutions for a company that puts our customers’ needs at the heart of everything we do. The graduate will also gain professional development for both soft and hard skills through attending internal and external training programmes.

In addition to receiving first class training, we will also provide you with the exposure to our senior leaders across the business providing you with an opportunity to showcase your talents. We embrace diversity and look to develop our people in the skills and areas they are most interested in, leveraging the qualities and appreciate the unique competencies, skills, and experiences that each person brings to the company.

The role will be centred around the department, with cross functional work in Operations Sales Warehouse, Production Engineering, Information Technology & Digital Services [IT&DS], and Manufacturing Operations with specific focus on projects to deliver benefits supporting the following areas.

Operations System process support.

Analytical support across:
- Oracle - Bills of Material, Work in Process, Inventory, Material Planner & Warehouse Manager
- All Operating systems - Design and implement strategic improvements, whilst maintaining system processes and operations

Information Technology & Digital Services engagement.

Analytical support across:
- TOPdesk - focus on priority of Operations enhancements & service requests tickets.
- Self-Service Portal - Operations functional specifications, Justifications, benefits and cost savings

Operations Sales Warehouse

Analytical support across:
- Inventory management and storage capacity utilisation.
- Strategy and Rules for put away and pick
- Warehouse performance metrics - KPI analysis
- Design and implement strategic improvements, to deliver efficiency benefits and cost savings.
- Drive initiatives to deliver Systems & Process improvement.
