About the role

The newly created post of Social Work Assistant is there to work alongside frontline Social Workers in carrying out their duties.

As a Social Work Assistant for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:

- Taking & recording minutes of meetings
- Completing referrals to other agencies
- Making contact with partner agencies to gather and share information
- Maintaining electronic files
- Organising packages of support

About you

To be a Social Work Assistant for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:

- Good organisational skills
- Good administrative skills
- Good IT skills with use of Word, Gmail, and willingness and ability to learn to use Integrated Children’s Service electronic database
- Good communication skills with service users
- Good team player
