Crowne Plaza London Kingston is a contemporary and modern riverside 4* Hotel located in Suburban Surbiton. The property consists of 121 beautiful Executive and Deluxe Rooms, a Mini Gym, Restaurant, bar and Seven function rooms seating between 10 and 250 delegates for conferences, corporate events, social gatherings and weddings. **JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Food and Beverage Assistant**

**Employees employed under the Sun Hotel Umbrella are expected to be flexible when it comes to their job role, cross-training will be provided for all employees - for the purpose of employee development and business requirements.**

**JOB PURPOSE**

To provide a warm, friendly and efficient food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring

exceptional service standards are delivered and always maintained in line with our guest expectations.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests
- Ensure that guests are seated and provided with menus promptly
- Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered to guests
- Familiarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available in order to answer any questions guests may have
- Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately
- Consistently look at opportunities to upsell - sides, drinks (wines, spirits) or dishes of the day.
- Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations ensuring an exceptional level of service is always maintained.
- Set up, clear and promptly service tables (and floors) after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely manner
- Ensure the restaurant areas are clean and always presentable and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties as required
- Proactively look at opportunities to overcome potential complaints (complimentary drink / sides - for lateness of service etc.)
