Senior Utility Surveyor

Storm Geomatics Limited is a specialist survey company that concentrates its
efforts on capturing geospatial data for the flood risk mapping and modelling
profession and more recently for environmental habitat creation. We are
pioneering the supply of advanced geospatial data for our clients so they can gain
efficiencies in their timescales and raise quality in their project outcomes. We are
looking for a suitable person to lead a new Utilities service to satisfy the growing
demand from our clients.
Ideally, we would need applicants to have a minimum of four years’ experience
carrying out utility and topographic surveys. The role would suit someone that has
a desire to lead and train others and has commercial awareness as well as
attention to detail and accuracy. The successful applicant should be able to work
on their own initiative and be able to delegate tasks effectively to others.
Applicants for the position should be able to carry out utility surveys to PAS128
Category Type B and produce the report and drawings for our clients. They will
also train surveyors within Storm to use the utility detection equipment, both EML
and GPR, interpret the results and produce the reports.
**The successful applicant would ideally need the following skills and attributes**:
- Be a team leader.
- Be able to manage their own projects and liaise with their clients.
- Be willing to travel throughout the UK, often away from home in the week.
- Be able to use GNSS and total stations to produce topographic surveys.
- Have a Level 3 qualification or higher in Utility Mapping.
- Hold a full clean UK driving licence.
- Have a passion for the environment.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be able to speak fluent English.
- Be able to swim.
- Live within 30min drive of the office.
You will have regular project meetings with colleagues and will have support from
senior management whilst establishing the new service.

**Salary**: £18,242.47-£51,123.49 per year
