Rural Surveyor Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor to join our expanding team at ROSE & YOUNG RECRUITMENT LTD. The successful candidate will have a strong background in rural property management, valuations, and estate administration.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years PQE and be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills, with proficiency in relevant software. Commercial awareness and business acumen are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diversification and Planning: Support clients in exploring new revenue streams and enhancing the value of their rural estates.
• Estate and Property Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of rural properties, including valuations, taxation, and succession planning.
• Valuations, Taxation and Succession planning: Provide expert advice on valuation methods, tax implications, and succession planning strategies for rural estates.
• Landlord and Tenant matters, including Farm Business Tenancies and Contract Farming Agreements: Negotiate and advise on farm business tenancies and contract farming agreements, ensuring fair terms and conditions for both parties.
• Advising clients on Agri-environmental Schemes and Grants: Help clients navigate agri-environmental schemes and grants, ensuring they maximize their eligibility and benefits.
• Land and Property Sales, and Acquisitions: Assist clients in buying and selling rural properties, providing expert advice on market trends and negotiation techniques.
• Utility and Infrastructure Compensation Claims: Advocate for clients in utility and infrastructure compensation claims, ensuring fair compensation for losses or damage.
• Renewable energy: Explore opportunities for renewable energy generation on rural estates, advising on feasibility and implementation strategies.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor with at least 2 years PQE
• Registered Valuer and FAAV preferred, but not essential
• Commercially astute, with a focus on business targets and client care
• Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in relevant software

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, plus bonus scheme. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00 am - 5.30 pm.
