**About the Senior User Research role**
As part of the user centred design team, you’ll be joining over 25 practitioners in UX Design, User Research, Content Design and Visual Design. You’ll also work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts and Developers as well as the wider HL team.
There are opportunities available within the Payments and Augmented Advice squads. The Payments squad will consist of UX designer, user researchers (qual and quant) and business specialists and be responsible for identifying and classifying customer paymentjourneys across the web, mobile and offline channels.
The Augmented Advice squad will be exploring a novel, innovative service offering from HL which will provide an enhanced level of insight to support customers in hitting their financial goals.
**As a Senior User Researcher within the HL UCD team, you will**:

- Help identify and communicate the needs of our users
- Define and articulate research goals and user-centric measures of success
- Plan, design, and conduct research with users to provide robust evidence for making decisions
- Support product owners and other colleagues in turning research findings into actions
- Help define experience KPIs and measures of success
- Create shared understanding of users and their experiences through the creation of UX artefacts
- Plan and facilitate workshops to gain knowledge and foster alignment
- Proactively communicate updates to colleagues across the business
- Work with the User Research team to promote and shape user research at HL

**About you**:

- You are confident and experienced using a range of qualitative user experience research methods to reveal actionable insight
- Adopt a rigorous approach to research, underpinned by a solid understanding of the relevant underlying psychological principles
- Can draw insights from data collected through qualitative and quantitative methods
- Can create compelling narratives from insight and helping teams make evidence-based design decisions based on findings
- Have experience evaluating and testing information architecture
- Have experience designing and delivering effective collaborative workshops
- Have substantial experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary digital product team
- Are an open, confident, and considered communicator and collaborator
- Employ excellent analytical, and critical thinking skills in your work
- Have a natural curiosity about people and their behaviour
