A temporary job as a Purchase Ledger Clerk paying up to £23,000.
**Your new company**This growing family run business is looking to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to assist their busy team.
**Your new role
You will be required to
**Correctly code and post purchase invoices and other payables to the Microsoft NAV system
Work with colleagues and external suppliers to resolve any differences between orders, deliveries and invoices Ensure all invoices are correctly authorised.
Handle and resolve incoming supplier queries and perform regular supplier statement reconciliations
Put forward proposed payment lists and make payments once approved.
Operate the overseas payments procedures ensuring that payments in advance are correctly processed and recorded in NAV.
Post company credit card payments ensuring that correct documentation is in place and that payments are authorised and evidenced
Support the Assistant Accountant in maintaining bank records and reconciliations.
Learn other tasks performed within the accounts team to be able to provide cover for colleagues who are absent on leave or sickness.
Perform other ad-hoc and recurring tasks within the finance team as requested.
**What you'll need to succeed**You must be experienced in AP duties and other accounts activities from well-run organisations
Experience with the Microsoft NAV financial system would be highly beneficial.
You must have good internal control, compliance and good practice along with the ability to adjust and learn
