LV Logistics currently has an opportunity for a **Customs Clearance Controller **to join our dynamic team based in **Aberdeen, **delivering and developing our managed service on customs compliance. The post can be undertaklen on a **part time or full time basis** and in return will receive a competitive salary depending on experience plus benefits including pension and healthcare.

LV Logistics is a well-established, successful and growing provider of logistics services including freight forwarding, warehousing, transport and customs clearance management.

**Your responsibilities as our Customs Controller will include**:

- Preparing & processing import & export entries in accordance with paperwork & clearance instructions received from clients & registering within internal systems.
- Billing out of applicable duties and taxes to customers & monitoring receipt within the required timeframe.
- Handling of any clearance queries including keeping operational staff fully informed of any holds, exams or other potential delays to shipments.
- Monitoring compliance with all aspects of customs regulations and liaising with all Customs departments, including those with specific responsibility, e.g. Port Health etc.
- Assist and guide customers to ensure compliance with the regulations.
- Provide correspondence to customers and suppliers via the appropriate method
- Use of Port Community Systems (Destin8 / CNS).
- Update tracking schedules where necessary/appropriate.

**What we’re looking for in our Customs Controller**:

- Experienced in customs processes and legislation - either in-house or with a freight forwarder
- Preferably have knowledge of Port Community Systems (Destin8 / CNS)
- Somebody who will see this as an opportunity to lead on the development of customs clearance as a key part of the customer offer from LV Logistics.
