Nineteen Recruitment is delighted to working with a local client, recruiting on their behalf for a Family Support Worker, a role that are available on a full-time basis based in the Darlington area.

This role is long-term and commands a standard hourly rate of £12.02 per hour.

**Job description**

As a family support worker, you will be undertaking 1:1 work, some supervised family time sessions, and supporting families with parenting work which contributes towards assessments.

This will include transporting children to and from sessions in various locations, constantly monitoring the young persons under supervision and reporting any concerns to the appropriate authority to ensure that they are safeguarded.

As well as this, you will also be contributing to the completion of Life Story Work. This will involve collating information for life story books and compiling life story books to a high quality to promote adopted children’s family history and identity as they grow.
- UK based work experience working with families and young people
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
- Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
