This role will see you travelling across the whole picturesque Wessex Water region which covers Bristol, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Bridgwater and everything in between in a company vehicle with all the tools needed to carry out the role.

**Where do you come in?**

Everyday Wessex Water schedule and carry out the regulatory sampling programme for the water and sewerage services that we provide to 2.5 million people in the southwest of England. We also provide sampling and analytical services to a range of customers including businesses, local authorities, drinking water providers and environmental consultants.

This role within the Sampling Team involves taking responsibility for sampling and maintaining the cleanliness of 25 Water Refill Units (WRUs) across the Wessex Water area and offers a great opportunity to learn and develop your career in this exciting and challenging field.

The role will require managing the sampling schedule according to the requirements for each unit and working in close collaboration with colleagues across the business. You will also represent Wessex Water to customers, when visiting the WRUs or taking water quality samples at customer properties.

**The ideal person**

You will have a positive and flexible approach and enjoy the challenge of working outdoors and prioritising your own workload, as well as good attention to detail.

You will need to have passing GCSEs in English, Maths and Science (or equivalent) as a minimum and be computer literate with Word and Excel.

You will need a flexible approach to working hours, as within this role there are occasions where there will be early starts to ensure samples are taken and delivered back to the laboratory in time for analysing.

Due to the nature of this role a full manual driving licence is essential, a company vehicle will be provided.
