To work along other CAPS dedicated administrative staff to provide a high quality Secretarial and administrative support to the Children and Parents Team, Manchester (CAPS).
- To ensure provision of a comprehensive, high quality and efficient administrative and secretarial service.
- To help manage the day-to-day workload, ensuring that priorities are identified and dealt with and that problems are resolved as quickly as possible including liaising with external bodies.
- To help coordinate the work of secretarial and administrative staff, ensuring that adequate arrangements are in place to cover the work of absent colleagues, and to participate in the provision of such service as required.
- To co-ordinate the organisation of training and consultation provision to multi-agency professionals when required in line with commissioned services.
- When required organise the supply of secretarial and or administrative staff from external agencies, keeping accurate records as appropriate.
- To develop and promote good working practice, ensuring standard protocols (e.g. correspondence) are in place.
- When required participate in the provision of a secretarial service including drafting and typing of correspondence, reports, documents, transcribing audio sources, supporting the use of clinical and corporate systems as appropriate (e.g. data input, spreadsheet design, production of presentations, word processing, etc). May support the provision of a reception service.
- To ensure staff have an adequate supply of office/secretarial stock and non-stock items.
