Job Description:
Venator is currently recruiting for a Commercial Buyer - Corporate Services to join the Purchasing team based at our Wynyard, Titanium House location.

This role will support a variety of Venator Corporate Services departments to provide value for money via the use of effective purchasing tools, methodologies, and category knowledge.

Job responsibilities:
- Create and implement effective category plans for the Corporate Services departments in scope of role.- Deliver business value outcomes in support of Venator strategic objectives.- Assure reliable sourcing/supply compliant to specifications,- Compliance throughout the process against our Business Conduct Guidelines,- Sustainable purchasing meeting our Supplier Code of Conduct,- Drive optimum terms and conditions resulting in cost reduction/cost avoidance,- Manage vendor relationship as per our culture.- Day to day management of the one or more categories, with a focus on continuous improvement within Venator’s purchasing performance.- Report on supplier performance to ensure that suppliers continue to provide value for money, taking corrective action when appropriate, including re-negotiation of agreements & re-sourcing requirements- Ensure that new suppliers are compliant with applicable Venator and Venator IT Standards- Build strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.- Develop purchasing strategy for allocated categories based on solid knowledge of the markets (suppliers, trends, benchmarks, TCO); source new suppliers; identify and select the best partners for Venator; lead implementation in cooperation with business stakeholders; manage supplier relationships.-
- CIPS qualified or studying towards CIPS or a relevant alternative qualification.- At least 3 years (range 3-5 years) professional experience in a Purchasing/ procurement role or a vendor/supplier relationship and/or contract management capacity would be beneficial.- Deep understanding of end-to-end purchasing/procurement processes, including three of more of the following: purchase to pay, requirements gathering/scoping/specifying, market research, sourcing, contract negotiation, contract drafting and execution, contract lifecycle management and benefits/outcomes realisation would be beneficial.- Proven commercial outcomes through use of tools and techniques such as requirements capture, benchmarking, competitive tendering, spend analysis, opportunity identification, risk mitigation/cost avoidance and commercial negotiation.- Enthusiastic initiative-taker who thrives in a result driven environment.- A strong collaborator, team-player with effective communication skills is essential for this role.- Strong IT skills and proven ERP experience (SAP preferred)
