**The opportunity**:
We have a vacancy to join us as a Procurement Officer. Our Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing Swansway’s sourcing capabilities and supply chain. They will be responsible for finding and evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts and acquiring the most cost-efficient deals without compromising on quality.

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of two years as a Procurement Clerk, Junior Buyer or any other related position and have either a background or working knowledge of the motor industry.

- Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
- Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management
- Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results
- Act as a purchasing agents and delegate tasks across departments when necessary
- Managing overall direction, coordination and evaluation of procurement
- Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business
- Creating policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation

- Either a Degree in a business-related field like Business Management, Contract Management or Procurement or ideally an industry recognised certification, such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIP) certification, NVQ certifications in Supply Chain Management and Higher National Diploma/Certificate in Procurement.

**A bit more about the family**:
Founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and his three sons, David, Peter and John, Swansway has grown from five motor dealerships in Cheshire and the West Midlands to the 20 dealerships we have today. From Birmingham in the South to Carlisle in the North we partner with eleven brands including; Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Honda and many more.

We’re expanding our own-brand, Motor Match our used sites, and we don’t stop at dealerships; we operate four Volkswagen Group Trade Part Centres, an Accident Repair Centre, a Group Fleet Sales Centre and an eBay shop re-cycling obsolete part. All this is supported by our Head Office in Crewe.
