**Allstaff Recruitment** are currently seeking a **Legal Cashier** based in **Bedford** for reputable solicitors.

**_Summary of the_ Legal Cashier** **_role _**

**Salary**: £13per hour
**Location:**Bedford
**Hours**: 37.5 hour working week, Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm
**_The role _**

As the **Legal Cashier,** your role will involve the following important duties:

- Undertake daily banking functions including bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of cheques on a daily basis.
- The administration and reconciliation of petty cash and nominal accounts.
- Processing of client and office accounting transactions.
- Preparation of month-end reports.
- Full management of the firm's payroll system and returns to HMRC.
- VAT administration and returns.
- Assist the practice manager in a wide range of regulatory and compliance work.

**_The experience required _**

As a successful **Legal Cashier ,** you will have the following:

- An accountancy qualification or relevant knowledge and experience.
- Law Firm accounts experience would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of financial guidelines with regard to Solicitor's Accounts Rules and cash flow control.
- Strong IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Experience with Legal Electronic Case Management Systems.
- Excellent communication both written and verbal.
