**Full-time hours**: 40 per week

**Shifts**: 5 days per week [Tuesday through Saturday], 23:00 hours to 07:00 hours.

**Rate of Pay**: £26,000.00 per annum plus a share of the hotel gratuities. Salaries are paid monthly on the last working day of the month.

This position would suit someone who has had previous experience in a customer facing security role, night reception in a serviced accommodation building and/or hotel security.
- A minimum of two year’s experience in a similar role,
- An excellent level of English (both verbal and written)
- Be proficient in the use of computers with a general knowledge of both hotel PMS and EpoS systems as well as Microsoft Office software. Current sytems used are RezControl (PMS) and Newbridge (EpoS).

The daily duties of the Night Porter will include but not be limited to:

- To ensure that all paperwork relating to guest accounts are checked and filed appropriately for the maintenance of room accounts.
- To maintain good lines of communication with all departments at shift handover ensuring that any pertinent information is passed over; this includes staff sick calls, any issues arising from nightly checks and information relating to guest activity or welfare.
- To assist in any late arrivals or early departures; providing assistance with luggage, retrieval of guest cars and the payment of room accounts.
- To ensure that the public areas are kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
- To provide general assistance in the provision of housekeeping requests for guests overnight in the absence of the housekeeping team.
- To assist in carrying out of any emergent minor maintenance tasks at the hotel, as and when required at times when the maintenance porter is not on duty and to pass on any relevant information for further action as required.
- To ensure that the all the external areas of the hotel including steps, pathways and terraces are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- To follow all guidelines regarding fire, health and safety within the work place and ensure that any concerns are brought to the attention of the management for action.
- To perform regular walkthroughs of the building(s) are carried out ensuring that checks on boilers, laundry equipment, open fires and any other aspects relating to Fire, Health, Safety and Security.
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by your Supervisor, Head of Department or Management.
- To be an ambassador for the hotel and The Polizzi Collection at all times.
