**Title**:Clinical Lead - Hospice Services

**Salary**:MCJES, Grade F: £43,250 - £48,048 per annum

**Hours**:35 hours per week

**Contract Type**:Permanent

**Based**:Cardiff and Vale Hospice, Penarth

We are currently seeking a Clinical Lead for our Hospice Services, based in the Cardiff & Vale Hospice in Penarth, to work with our Hospice Teams to support the delivery of person-centred, safe and effective care.

This is senior role reporting to the Head of Operations for Wales and working alongside the Head of Quality and Clinical Practice, Medical Director and Clinical Lead for the Community.

The successful person will:

- Support the Head of Operations in the delivery, quality and development of clinical services within the Marie Curie Hospice in Cardiff & Vale ensuring effective communication across all teams at all levels
- Be accountable for defining and ensuring that agreed professional standards are reflected in practice within the clinical team
- Be accountable for the overall management of the clinical team, recruitment, deployment and supervision of clinical staff and volunteers ensuring the co-ordination of all services provided to the patients in the Hospice.
- Optimise the cost-effective use of all resources, providing input into the budget planning process and be responsible for the costs associated to the clinical element of the service.
- Provide management support and professional leadership, to lead and innovate clinical practice within the service.

What we are looking for:

- Evidence of demonstrable clinical leadership skills
- Educated to degree level in a nursing or health and social care qualification
- Registered nurse (1st level) or Qualified Allied Health Professional with significant experience at band 7 in a relevant speciality
- Broad and extensive experience of caring for patients and families with complex care needs
- Leadership experience in team and performance management
