We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Bereavement Coordinator to join our team in Marie Curie Cardiff & Vale Hospice, Penarth.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to continue to develop and lead our Wales bereavement service. Marie Curie is committed to providing appropriate bereavement care for all people that require it, whether that is formal or informal support.

You will be working with our current counsellor and responsible for your own caseload of bereaved clients through terminal illness throughout Wales whether that is virtually, face to face or via telephone.

The successful applicant will continue to develop relationships with all sectors across Wales to generate referrals, scope gaps and promote our services. The post holder will be required to develop student and volunteer opportunities within the organisation and provide supervision to these.

You will work with partnership organisation Diverse Cymru to develop service for people that have not previously accessed our services so we can provide a more equitable service to all communities.

You will need to be a confident communicator and calm decision maker, you’ll need experience and knowledge in bereavement support, together with well-developed assessment and planning skills. The ability to prioritise your work, whilst juggling a variety of changing demands, is vital

Ability to travel across Wales will be required, therefore the ability to drive with appropriate business insurance is essential.
