**THE ROLE**
As Compliance officer you will be responsible for development, governance and oversight of compliance activities to support strong and effective control measures within Communisis in the UK and overseas in the territories in which we operate.

Working with the Head of Operational Risk, the Compliance Officer will perform a variety of duties to provide assurance that the Business are performing all necessary control activities. These will be in line with Group Policies, operational processes, externally recognised standards and Client and Supplier contractual requirements.

The Compliance Officer will take a pro-active approach in ensuring that the needs of the business and processes associated with any compliance activities for BAU and projects are supported. This will require the Compliance Officer to develop a good working relationship with the various business units across the Communisis Group as well as external customers and suppliers where necessary.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Be responsible for monitoring compliance across Communisis and provide regular Management Information to the Head of Operational Risk, Chief Risk Officer and other interested parties as needed
- Ensure control processes related to supply chain management are adequate and being effectively followed including the PQQ on-boarding process
- Support in the completion and review of formal responses including client questionnaires, RFP and PQQ review
- Review contractual requirements for clients and suppliers to ensure Communisis remains compliant with its contractual obligations (including BC/DR, Information Security and standards). Where there re gaps work with the wider business to develop an action plan which can be tracked to closure
- Ensure compliance and audit activities are carried out in line with business requirements including Business Continuity and IT DR testing and telephone cascades. Where there re gaps work with the wider business to develop an action plan which can be tracked to closure
- Support the management of internal audit plans, including the 2nd Line plan. Ensure that the internal audit plan is adhered to, remedial actions from both internal and external audits are logged within q-pulse and tracked to completion
- Support the Information Security Standards Manager in compliance and audit activities for recognised standards including ISO27001. ISO22301, BS1008, Cyber Essentials and PCI-DSS
- Ensure that controls in place to mitigate Group Risks are effective including the implementation of ‘spot-checks’ and other activities (to include adherence to policy and processes e.g. change, IT DR, baseline security standards, risk acceptance etc)

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**
- Previous risk or compliance experience including audit activities
- An understanding of risk controls in a manufacturing and/or IT environment is desirable, but not essential
- Ideally lead auditor qualified
- Experience in a hands on role of process review, design and implementation
- Understanding of relevant standards and ability to interpret requirements to enable a practical implementation into Communisis
- Awareness of ISO27001, ISO22301, BS10008, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, PCI-DSS and Cyber Essentials+
- Communisis acts as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor dealing with large volumes of both personal and sensitive information and is required by clients to meet high standards of information security - a working understanding of security and data protection principles is required
