As the **HR Manager**you will be responsible for the management of the business' culture and wellbeing of the workforce. This includes, but not limited to, coaching and mentoring of staff, while championing an open and inclusive workplace andcompany as a whole.

The**HR Manager** will report directly to the Managing Director who will guide them through the initial learning period, to oversee any queries and procedural questions they may have. They will also be given a full compliment of training onpolicy, software systems and company procedure to ensure a smooth transition into the new position.

Knowledge and use of the Sage software package, as well as any HR software is advantageous, but non-essential, as full training can be provided.

As a**HR Manager**, you will be expected to have comprehensive knowledge and experience of the following:

- Employment regulations
- General HR practices
- HR Departmental areas, including reward and recognition, welfare and learning + development
- Leading effective employment policies
- The data protection act and all related practices
- The equality act and all related practices
- General knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
- HR office software packages (specific training will be supplied)

The right person will also possess:

- The ability to create a strategy for people
- The ability to drive performance and motivate staff
- A pro-active approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an approachable demeaner
- In depth knowledge of employment law
- First rate communication and presentation skills
- Proficient IT skills.
