**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Leader the Production Scheduler will lead the team responsible for directing and co-ordinating planning and scheduling activities across the Tubes Manufacturing process, including both the Glass and Plus Tube range of products. This will include working as part of the Tubes Business Team to ensure all metrics are achieved in terms of volumes; quality, safety and training are achieved within the financial plan.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for the operational performance of shifts through coordinating the production plan across shifts to ensure the attainment of production targets in terms of service - volume and mix, quality and cost.
- Working closely with Planner/Buyer and Shift Leaders to develop an effective production schedule, which is understood and clearly communicated across all shifts.
- Working with procurement and production planning to ensure material is available to meet agreed schedule.
- Works with Shift Leaders and OTL’s to ensure weekly and daily schedule is adhered to with any deviation being approved by the Production Scheduler or Assistant. Ensures Schedule is communicated to Engineering and Quality Shift Leaders and any other Tubes Business Team members as appropriate.
- Works with the Planner Buyers and Supply Chain Team to review the Tubes forecasting and scheduling system into the plant SAP system to make sure Tube capacity is available to produce the schedule.
- Oversees the creation of production orders for all subassemblies and finished goods as required to meet the plant shipping schedule.
- Reviews any change order requests with appropriate personnel and recommends approval or denial of change order.
- Monitors and reports progress towards monthly compliance both as to shipping compliance and production schedule compliance of finished goods and subassemblies.
- Monitors and reports back order status by catalogue number.
- Execute specific operational projects to ensure consistency across shifts as directed by the Business Team Manager.

As part of the Tubes Business Team to facilitate and integrate lean practices across all shifts.
