We are looking for a Part-Time Client Bookkeeper & Payroller, with a minimum of 3 years experience to join our friendly team in Southampton

The role is diverse - you will manage a number of clients from different industries. Practice experience is a must it would be advantages if you have a working knowledge of Xero, Dext and Senta software, although training can be provided.

We work from our offices, but occasionally travel to our clients, so a reliable vehicle and clean driving licence are essential.

After an initial handover period, you would be expected to manage the customer relationship and any requirements they might have, therefore you must be able to work as part of a team, but also have the skills and confidence to work alone.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Key duties would include:

- Excellent customer services skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- **Bookkeeping**_:

- Sales and Purchase Ledger
- Bank and Credit card reconciliation
- Submitting VAT & CIS returns
- Credit Control
- Managing supplier payments
- Working with incomplete records
- Posting Journals
- Reconciling control accounts
- Preparing management accounts
- Preparing year end file for our accountants
- **Payroll**:_
- Sick Pay
- Maternity Pay
- Auto Enrolment
- CIS
- Salary Sacrifice
- Setting up new payroll schemes
- Frequent starters and leavers

**Qualifications and Skills**

At least AAT Level 3 or equivalent qualification, QBE will be considered

At least 3 years’ experience in practice

25-35 hours a week

Up to £30k FTE depending on experience

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25-35 per week

**Salary**: Up to £30,000.00 per year
