Your new role will be working as part of anestablished Technical team working as a senior Energy Technician
Your new role
Your new role working as a Senior Technician handling Energy risk means you will be responsible for the financial aspects of the end to end premium process, creating timely and accurate accounting transactions and premium signings. You will liaise with theBureau (DXC, previously Xchanging) in the workings of accounting and settlement (A&S) protocols and activity relate to the function of premium process and signings. The role includes working with the Brokers and 3rd party providers making sure all the associatedcomplexities are able to both process and support the business in technical capacity as well as providing support & assistance to the their team in India. Other duties will include liaising extensively with the Accounting and Credit Control Teams, with accountabilityto support to clear all Financial Disciplines (bad debt, unallocated cash, uncollected brokerage, held funds, funding and signings) assigned to them. Extensive understanding of Market Reform Contracts is essential.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Senior Technician handling Energy risks, will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have a strong understanding and experience working with the Bureau in the workings of accounting and settlement (A&S)protocols, as well as a working knowledge of Line Slips & Binding Authorities. Key attributes required are attention to detail and accuracy, having a high level of accountability, being self-motivated and able to work with a degree of autonomy. Experiencein the use of IPT Quote tax software and knowledge of LORS is preferable but not essential.
