Your new job working as a Broker Support Technician will be working for a dynamic Insurance and Reinsurance Broker. Due to the substantial growth within their Speciality team your Brokers are creating a new middle officefunction where a permanent position as a Broker Support Technician has arisen handling either Marine, Aviation or Energy business.
Your new Role
Your new job working as a Broker Support Technician will be situated in a middle function office handling the delivery of all broker back up activities, managing 3rd party provider relationships and ensuring there is positive collaboration and support. Betweenthe Brokers, Clients, and providers. The objective of this role is to drive the delivery of an efficient and enhanced end to end operations service to their Clients, Brokers/ Account Executives. Your duties will include the preparation of key placement documentsto include MRC slips, endorsements & EOC. You will also initiate and oversee the premium processing function by supporting the processing technicians with the resolution of queries and maintaining an accurate and compliant record of the placement via GXB.Other duties will include training 3rd Party Service Providers, utilising relevant market and internal systems to aid in the placement process, and supporting the internal File Audit process working with the File Review and Internal Audit team. This role isa pure Broker back up/Broker support role ( all front production) as the back end processing is outsourced. The classes of business they are looking for are Marine, Aviation and Energy and are looking for experienced Technician's with these skill sets
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience as a Broker Support Technician handling Marine or Aviation or Energy risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have experience in MRC production as well as endorsements. A desire to learn new tasks and newlines of business, as well as having the ability to communicate with Clients and colleagues in a professional manner. Ideally you will have excellent awareness of Global XB and the end to end process and have experience in the London Market processes and systems.Other key attributes include the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, ability to embrace Change and embed new processes as required by the Leadership and be computer literate, including good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointpackages.
