JOB TITLE: VOLUNTEER TUTOR
- We support to offer online tuition to vulnerable pupils._
- Help us to offer heavily subsidised online tuition and help improve disadvantaged pupils’ life chances_

**About Us**

Exam Star Learner is an educational charity which aims to deliver both school and parent facing educational tutorials to help improve students’ attainments as well as parental engagement in children’s education. We are on a mission to advance the education of underachieving disadvantaged children and young people aged 5-18, with a focus on helping them progress to further study, training, and skilled employment. We recruit volunteer tutors who deliver high quality one-to-one online tutorials in English, Maths, Science and French.

**EVENING PROGRAMME**

Tuition start time: 5 PM-7 PM
Duration: 1-2 hours per week
Key stages: KS1-KS4

**Please note that Volunteer Tutor is an unpaid role.**

**What you'll need to bring to the role?**

Experience of Teaching / Education / Mentoring
Excellent communication skills
Has the ability to understand the needs of pupils
Can answer pupils’ questions and enable them to gain clarify in English, Maths, Sciences and/or French
Understands the resource constraints of a small social enterprise and is able to work with these
Able to abide by safeguarding/child protection regulations when delivering online tuition.

Your help will be invaluable in developing pupils’ awareness of independent study methods and techniques and ultimately raising their educational aspirations as well as helping them feel more empowered to fulfil their academic potential.
