Packing Operative

Job Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packer to join our team. As a Packer, you will be responsible for preparing and packing products for shipment in a warehouse environment. This is a physically demanding role that requires some heavy lifting and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pick and pack products according to order specifications
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts
- Perform materials handling tasks, including organizing stock and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Ensure all packed items are properly labelled and prepared for shipping
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Utilise warehouse management system to track inventory and update records
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards

Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred
- Familiarity with picking, packing, and materials handling processes
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time
- Proficiency in operating forklifts or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packing orders
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask

**Salary**: £10.50-£11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
