The Royal Yachting Association is seeking an experienced administrator to assist the Portland House Operations Officer with the day to day running of Portland House. Portland House is the RYAs World Class facility that host the British Sailing Team and other users including RYA members. It is located within the Caste Court development within walking distance of WPNSA - the venue for the 2012 Olympic Sailing and home training based for Team GB. Portland House provides excellent accommodation and facilities for sailors, training groups and RYA members. This job has a diverse range of responsibilities, requiring good organisational, networking and communication skills and IT literacy, as well as an ability to work independently.

What youll be doing:

- Support the Portland House Operations Officer with the day to day operations of Portland House.
- Assist with enquiries and bookings using the Hotel Booking System (Sirvoy), including taking payments and liaising with users. This includes liaising with RYA departments and external organisations regarding the availability and allocation of accommodation and facilities.
- Assist with the guest experience of the Portland House.
- Administer Groups using the Portland House facilities and be a point of contact for visitors and contractors.
- Assist the Portland House Operations Officer with the necessary cleaning schedules to ensure they are in place for the Housekeeping Team.
- Carry out routine Health & Safety checks and procedures under the direction of the Portland House Operations Officer.
- Help facilitate routine maintenance programmes and ad-hoc maintenance requirements to ensure that the facilities are maintained to agreed standards.
- Be available during agreed times out of normal working hours as part of the on-call rota in order to respond to out of hours issues.
- Support the Racing Operations Manager and the Racing Facilities & Resources Manager with other tasks related to the Portland facilities as required.

- Experience of working within an administrative role.
