**Job summary**:

- Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. It also aims to disrupt the organised criminal groups that exploit the vulnerable for their personal gain. Learn more on the Immigration Enforcement careers page.**Job description**:
Immigration Enforcement is the lead agency for Organised Immigration Crime. Our Criminal and Financial Investigation (CFI) team is committed to disrupting and dismantling the organised crime groups facilitating immigration abuse, utilising its financial investigations capability to remove the proceeds of crime and strip criminals of their assets.

The profile of criminality is changing rapidly with an ever-increasing reliance on digital technology. As part of our investigation capability, Cyber and Digital Capabilities (CDC) have implemented a forensic case management system to manage all forensics across CDC to support investigations.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our CFI team as an Internal Quality Control Manager. You will act as an ambassador for quality within Cyber & Digital Capabilities, overseeing the delivery of digital forensic services to ensure all work is conducted in adherence to internal and external quality standards and regulations.

Working alongside the Quality Manager, in this role you will lead and develop an effective quality of service within Cyber & Digital Capabilities, which will align business objectives to the strict requirements of specific International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) quality standards, and the Forensic Science Regulator’s Codes of Practice of Conduct.

**Person specification**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Understanding, maintaining, and actively promoting adherence to the internal quality management system, as well as driving continuous improvement to enable efficiencies and ensure quality standards are upheld.
- Undertaking period remote and onsite inspections of all forensic activities, plan quality assessments and prepare written reports detailing your findings. You will then work with unit managers to propose relevant actions to ensure risk minimisation and continuation of a high quality of service.
- Maintaining records within the digital forensic case management system to ensure compliance and adherence to relevant regulatory standards (i.e. ISO/IEC 17025:2017, 17020, Forensic Regulator Codes).
- Working closely with the Quality Manager, Kiosk Manager and Digital Lab Manager you will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of a CFI wide Quality Management System to ensure compliance and adherence to relevant regulatory standards. This is to ensure that the Digital Forensic function within CFI is accredited in the most effective and timely manner.
- Liaising with external and internal auditors, accreditation, and certification bodies (UKAS) relating to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, 17020 standards, negotiating on non-conformance findings.
- Bringing inefficient processes to the attention of the Quality Manager and assist with the development of any solutions.
- Conducting other associated tasks that are considered appropriate given the rapid changes in technology and the amendment of practices to take these into account.

All Criminal & Financial Investigation staff are required to disclose any adverse judicial decisions or internal disciplinary matters under CPIA. Applicants need to bear this in mind when considering their eligibility for this post.

Please note: Your experience must be established in your accompanying job history and will be confirmed during the selection process.

- Experience in/as a quality standards assessor.
- Experience in the auditing of detailed standards.
