**How you'll make a difference**:

- As a Business and Administration Support Apprentice, you will make a difference by providing a fully comprehensive and confidential Business and Administration service to Social Care teams in our Integrated Children’s Service. The People’s Department leads in all of the council work relating to Children, Adults and Health, which together provide a wide range of public facing services, and work will largely be dictated by the statutory and contractual needs of South Gloucestershire clients and that of the wider department.**This role is available in Yate, Patchway and Kingswood.**

**What will you be doing**
- You’ll learn what advice to provide to customers, contacts, external organisations and colleagues ensuring that they receive appropriate guidance about policies and procedures.
- In addition, you’ll be taught how to carry out research; collate data and present information within your area of service specialism. This may include drafting documentation and presenting clear, accessible findings, as well as managing diaries and making appointments as necessary.
- You will provide business administration support within the area of service you are supporting.
- You’ll also have the opportunity to learn how to co-ordinate responses to queries, enquiries, complaints and requests from initial contact with the customer all within the allocated time frame.
- You will provide a wide and varied range of administrative tasks to assigned projects ensuring written reports are compiled, support is provided, and records are accurate which will help to inform decision making.
- Throughout your 24 month apprenticeship, we will allocate you a workplace mentor to give you guidance and support in completing your Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship. You will also have the support of a College assessor throughout your programme.
- Blended learning will be delivered by South Gloucestershire & Stroud College with face to face delivery in your workplace, virtual lessons and sessions and some college attendance for the diploma element at SGS College, Filton Campus, Filton Avenue, Bristol, BS34 7AT.

To successfully complete the apprenticeship you will be required to complete an end point assessment that consists of a Knowledge Test, Portfolio-based Interview and Project Presentation.The role will be hybrid working and the apprenticeship will consist of blending learning.For further details about this apprenticeship, please download the job description.**What we need from you**:

- You will ideally hold a minimum of GCSE Grade A*-C (or Grade 9-4) or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.
- Ideally you will have good IT skills in the use of Microsoft packages, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
- You must have the drive and willingness to learn new things and be committed to gaining your qualification
- Ideally, you will have experience of basic financial procedures e.g. petty cash, invoicing etc.
