- The Bikeability cycle training team is an integral part of the Road Safety Education, Training and Publicity Team. As a Bikeability Support Officer you’ll make a difference by supporting the Bikeability Operational Manager in the day to day running of the Bikeability scheme, allowing the Bikeability Service to offer cycle training for children and adults across South Gloucestershire.**What will you be doing?**
- You will oversee the smooth-running of the Bikeability courses including holiday training courses. This will entail carrying out all associated administration including providing necessary paperwork to schools, parents and instructors, check trainees’ documentation provided and sending confirmation details to schools for schools courses.
- As the first of point of contact for cycle training instructors you will support them in all cycle training issues ensuring courses are allocated evenly between instructors and advising on trainees with special needs.
- Using relevant spreadsheets, update cycle training information and figures you will provide data for performance indicators, grant requests and government departments.
- It will be your responsibility to promote the scheme with schools and proactively approach them throughout the year to organise cycle training.

**What we need from you**:

- You must have previous experience of working in a busy office environment with experience of using Microsoft Office.
- It is essential that you can demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in writing with staff and members of the public including taking minutes/notes and reproduce those in typed format.
- It is important that you are able to organise and set up meetings and demonstrate prioritising your workload.
- We require you to have the ability to work unsupervised and make operational decisions in the absence of the Operation Manager, therefore gaining an understanding of the wider team activities.
