**Requirements**:
To provide a professional and high-quality reception service and administrative support for the Urgent Treatment Centre, Health Care Professionals.

**Role**

The post holder will work at the Urgent Treatment Centre, Morecambe providing reception and administrative support to the services we provide. The post holder will accept the responsibility for aspiring to achieve, share a corporate pride in achievements and values and strive to act as an ambassador for good quality.

**The post holder will be responsible for**:

- Greeting patients and processing information received accurately
- Gathering information received from patients and clinicians accurately, concisely and within the computer system (Adastra)
- Where applicable, undertaking basic information for triage by a clinician of walk in patients and ensuring accurate and recorded in a legible manner
- To inform clinician if any deterioration of patients in the waiting room
- Ensuring full patient confidentiality at all times
- Telephone answering, photocopying, scanning and maintaining spreadsheets and other sources of information
- Liaising with external agency, i.e. 111, hospital departments and NWAS
- Keeping abreast of all changes to services being provided as ever revolving
- Working effectively under pressure in a calm and confident manner
- Maintaining a consistent, quality and professional service
- Working as an individual and as part of an established team
- Administration duties to assist the Service Lead and Operational Support
- Adhere to policies and procedures of the company and keep up to date with any changes
- Ensure Mandatory Training is kept up to date and recorded appropriately

- To have responsibility for Health and Safety and welfare of others in the working environment, to follow safe working practices and to comply at all times with local Safety Policies and Procedures

- Notify the Service Lead of any accidents and untoward incidents in accordance with policy.
- To ensure confidentiality and compliance with Information Governance on all matters relating to patients and information obtained during the course of employment and not to release such information to anyone else other than those acting in an official capacity.
- Maintain good relationships with other members of the Health Care Team and with other disciplines
- Maintain good industrial relations
- Identify training needs of self and others and participate in relevant in-service education
- To attend staff meetings as required, including working groups to direct and implement change where appropriate

This Job Description will be periodically reviewed in light of developing work requirements. The Operational Manager may also ask for other duties to be carried out to the benefit of the organisation. The individual in post will be expected to contribute towards that revision.

Where necessary relevant training in the operation of new or unfamiliar equipment, software or procedures will be provided or arranged.

The post holder will be expected to attend any necessary courses that provide relevant training.
