**What does the Head of HR Delivery do?**
Reporting into the Chief People Officer, this role will be contributing to and implementing the HR strategy to drive and underpin the company's transformation.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will be the conduit between the People Division teams and senior stakeholders across other divisions to support high level business and governmental requirements.
Here is an overview of some of the responsibilities in this role:
- Managing the outputs and delivery of the HR team, ensuring it meets the UKHO’s strategic objectives.
- To be the central HR contact, developing tactical and influential relationships
- To keep informed about the government people agenda
- Lead a multi-functional team of approx. 20 FTE for the newly formed HR Shared Service (HRSS) delivery, including HR Specialists, Employee Relations, Recruitment and HR Business Partnering.
- Responsible for initiating HR policy, providing the strategic frameworks, tools, and processes to ensure HR is managed effectively
**Your Package**
**Salary**:Grade 7 Role; £55,647 - £58,927 (DOE)
**Flexible Working**:Our client can offer a variety of flexibilities, including, hybrid working (with once a week based in the Taunton Office), flexible working hours too.
**Holidays: **Starting at 26.5 days, rising to 31.5 days post 5 years service + 9 paid bank holidays
**Pension: **Pension Contribution up to 27.9%

**Have you got what it takes?**
**Essential:**
- Experience of leading a HR team, setting and delivering strategy and managing teams to deliver effective solutions (this could include as a HR Business Partner).
- Conversant with the wider Diversity and Inclusion agendas and experience of building a diverse workforce.
- Successful experience in a broad range of HR disciplines and people issues such as Workforce Planning and Resourcing, Employee Relations, HR/OD policies and strategies.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of the key financial drivers related to growth and cost management goals of an organisation
- Experience of using data analysis to support effective decision-making to inform HR strategy.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR legislation and best practice with experience of leading teams on complex ER issues
**Desirable**:
- Commercial HR management experience
- Consultative and unionised HR experience
- Experience of representing an organisation with external legal advisors
**Qualifications**:
MCIPD/ Level 7 or the equivalent - i.e a significant amount of experience in HR management.
