- The Director of Sales is responsible for all sales and sales related activities within the GEA Farm Technologies GB team. As a member of the FT UK Management team, the role will contribute to the budget setting and customer service objectives, ensuring these are effectively communicated to the country sales team and ensure that market share objectives are achieved on each product line within the territory (and those of our associated dealers). A solid understanding of the business KPIs and analysis of financial data to assess performance will be required, alongside an ability to accurately report data back into the business. Through an effective Sales & Marketing strategy, the role will support lead generation in collaboration with the FT UK Sales team and Head of Business Development & Marketing. Effective networking skills will be essential to enhance the profile of GEA FT UK within the agricultural industry.**Your responsibilities and tasks**:
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Effectively manage and lead equipment, service and hygiene sales and margins in order to achieve sales targets
- Ensure GEA market share objectives are achieved on each product line (where possible)
- Driving lead generation through effective sales and marketing strategy with Country Marketing Manager
- Accurate and timely C4C and preparation of management sales and pipeline reporting
- Excellent dealer management skills to ensure accurate market sensing to enable accurate sales forecasting
- Key member of UK Management Team contributing towards positive and ambitious outcomes
- Working closely with the technical team to ensure timely and effective support
- Working closely with the Business Development leader and order desk support team
- Effective networking within the agricultural industry to enhance the standing and influence of GEA FT within the industry
**Your profile and qualifications**:
- Educated to degree level
- BTEC in a technical or animal discipline relevant to our customers way of life and working
- Proven sales leader
- Seasoned professional with a minimum work experience of 5 years within a similar industry
- Wider understanding of managing sales channels and route to market development
- Self-motivated sales leader experienced in sales and lead generation with self-discipline and energy to lead a team
- Empathetic and excellent people skills
- Excellent IT and CRM skills
- Confident decision maker
- Open minded and eager to develop
