**Collections Advisor**

Quorum Business Park, Newcastle, NE12 8BU

**Salary**: OTE - £34,440 - £36,440 per annum**

(£21,000 -£23,000 basic + up to £13,440 commission and bonus)

**Working Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Shift Pattern**: Monday - Friday 09:00-17:30 or 10:30-19:00

**Holidays**: 21 days plus bank holidays increases to 23 days plus bank holidays after 1 years’ service

Verisure have an exciting new role in the Finance department of our new Centre of Excellence.

We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service - Collections Advisors to assist with the collection of outstanding debts. The Collection Agent will contact customers and inform them of their debts, take payments over the phone, negotiate payment plans, and ensure the debt is recovered in a timely manner.

**Duties**:

- Collect unpaid debt in a call centre environment
- Handle a high volume of outbound dialler calls
- Provide excellent customer experience throughout the collections process
- Document all interactions and actions in the system/database
- Follow-up with customers to encourage debt settlement
- Escalate customer inquiries through the ticket support system
- Handle questions or disputes related to debt
- Investigate and resolve balance discrepancies
- Communicate with management and other team members
- Comply with all company guidelines, policies and processes

**Essential skills**:

- A minimum of one year experience in a call centre environment, in a debt collection or telesales role
- Excellent communication skills with problem solving attitude
- Customer oriented with a natural flair with conversation and negotiation
- Attention de detail
- Able to keep calm under pressure and have a diplomatic but firm manner
- Persistent work ethic and resilience
- Proactive and work effectively and efficiently
- Ability to multitask effectively whilst keeping a high level of service quality
- Results and target driven
- Strong computer and MS Office skills
