Senior Examination Officer

A leading Private College based in Central London are looking to recruit a 'Senior Exams Officer'.
You MUST have experience working as a 'Exams Officer within the further Education Sector'.
The role is paying up to £35K depending on experience and is on a permanent contract.
**The role incorporates the following -**
- With the Examinations Manager, provide an effective day-to-day operation of the examinations function, ensuring compliance with the College’s policies and procedures and the requirements of external bodies, including awarding organisations, Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and funding agencies, as well as advising staff as appropriate.
- Ensure that all examination registrations, entries and results claims are submitted on time, accurately and in line with Awarding Body guidelines and regulations.
- Assist the Examinations Manager in the processing of financial information, including the setting and assessment of examination fees.
- Liaise with awarding bodies and other external agencies, as appropriate.
- Promote the highest possible standards in customer care, equal opportunities and health and safety practices for the benefit of learners and the wider community served by the College.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults served by the College.
**You MUST have the following skills / experience -**
- Possess a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or a willingness to achieve within a specified period.
- Experience of working in Further Education or similar environment.
- Experience of working with awarding organisations. For example, Pearson, AQA, City & Guilds, VTCT, registering, entries and claiming qualifications.
- Working knowledge of the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) Regulations, including knowledge of ICE (Instructions for Conducting Examinations)
- An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to creating a safe learning environment An understanding of and commitment to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults. Motivation to work with children/young people/Vulnerable adults Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people/vulnerable adults Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours. Attitudes to use of authority and maintaining discipline.
