**Job Title: Examinations Officer**

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Examinations Management**:

- Ensure the smooth running and integrity of all systems and procedures related to public examinations.
- Manage the examinations budget effectively.
- Act as the front-line interface between staff and students for examination administration.
- Fulfill the role of the BTEC Quality Nominee at the Academy.
- Ensure compliance with examination board requirements to maintain the center's examination status.
- Stay updated on educational developments, qualifications, and assessment changes.

2. **Training and Coordination**:

- Provide training to invigilators, ensuring compliance with examination conduct instructions.
- Liaise with facilities team to maintain examination facilities at a high standard.
- Ensure adequate stocking and quality checking of equipment and resources.
- Coordinate with Awarding Bodies for special considerations for students.
- Arrange timetabling and room arrangements with mínimal disruption to teaching and learning.

3. **Administration and Record Keeping**:

- Create and distribute examination, rooming, and invigilation timetables.
- Manage electronic download and distribution of examination results.
- Maintain accurate records of examination penalty fees and reimbursements.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the EMA scheme.
- Input and analyze data using relevant examination software.

4. **Communication and Liaison**:

- Liaise with teaching staff on student examination entry and option selection.
- Communicate with Examination Boards regarding entries, coursework, examination conduct, and results.
- Ensure safekeeping and confidentiality of exam papers and completed examination work.
- Inform students and parents about examination procedures, appeals, and results enquiries.
- Address issues or problems raised by teachers, students, or parents regarding examinations.

5. **Quality Assurance**:

- Monitor invigilator performance by visiting exam rooms regularly.
- Ensure students undertake exams in a suitable environment.
- Take line management action where invigilator performance is unsatisfactory.

6. **Reporting and Analysis**:

- Provide statistical information on examination entries and results.
- Conduct analysis as necessary.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience as an Examinations Officer.
- Familiarity with examination software such as CMIS examinations module.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,253.04-£33,169.42 per year
