We are looking for an ambitious Head of Accommodation to be part of the Rethink Mental Illness Leadership Group and have responsibility for leading a cluster of housing services, including CQC registered services.

**How you will make a difference**

As Head of Accommodation Based Services, you will be responsible for a group of services across Devon, Somerset and Gloucester (one of which is CQC registered). You will directly line manage seven managers across these services, three in Devon, three in Somerset and one in Gloucester. The range of service types includes CQC registered supported living, commissioned support, intensive housing management supported accommodation and outreach support. Your role is defined as Field Based so you will work from home and travel to each of your services including overseeing Rethink Reconnect service which is a unique service offering outreach support to individuals with dementia
- You will provide leadership for the housing and registered services portfolio, ensuring the services consistently deliver high quality, person-centred care and support.
- You will oversee the development and implementation of financial plans and budgets, ensuring all services are sustainable, financially viable and delivered within budget, while promoting organisational efficiencies. Effective management of income through proactive management of voids, rent and service charges, in line with organisational KPIs

- You will work with colleagues to develop and manage the Charity’s quality systems, outcomes framework, policies and procedures within accommodation services to ensure consistent performance management in line with good housing management practice and CQC regulation.
- You will ensure full compliance across the services you lead with Rethink Mental Illness safeguarding and risk management practices, ensuring that all services operate within the policies and procedures that have been approved by senior management.
- You will ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements, ensuring an effective organisational approach to health and safety, effectively mitigating risks, and that the promotion of equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion within Charity policies and procedures is fully adhered to across the housing services portfolio.

- You will have management experience of delivering complex social care/NHS service contracts in housing services.
- You will have an excellent understanding of good housing management practice.
- You mobilise / transition/implement large-scale new services.
- You will evidence achievement of high-performance management in line with organisation expectations.
- You will have experience of working in the care sector and can credibly and confidently represent the Charity with commissioners and other partners.
- You have experience of leading and managing a dispersed team across multiple sites.
- You will demonstrate the ability and have experience of developing and effectively managing budgets.
- You will have strong people management skills; be good at communicating with others to gain commitment, support, respect, trust and confidence.
- You will engage with and place service users, including carers, at the heart of our services.
