**Who we’re looking for**:
Plymouth Marjon University are seeking an individual to join our ambitious team within the School of Health and Wellbeing to support our apprentices and employers in the practice-based environment. You will have proven knowledge of the health and care sector and be passionate about teaching and learning as well as supporting individuals to develop and grow. We are seeking an exceptional individual to support us on our journey to becoming the provider of choice for healthcare apprenticeships in the region. Are you highly motivated and passionate about quality in apprenticeships? If so, you can make a real difference in helping our apprentices achieve to their potential. Applicants must have strong team working skills, in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be qualified to at least Level 3 in health and social care, with comprehensive experience and an understanding of the wider sector.

**What you’d be doing**:
You will be responsible for supporting a caseload of apprentices to successfully achieve and complete their apprenticeship journey. You will organise and maintain the appropriate documentation in relation to the apprenticeship and regularly review apprentices’ progress in conjunction with their employer both face to face in the workplace and virtually. Responsibilities of this post will include:

- Proactively engage with employers of apprentices to identify any emerging issues and to build strong employer relationships.
- Assess, monitor and track apprentices’ progression using nominated online systems.
- Preparing, maintaining, and monitoring periodic reports of apprentice progression through their apprenticeship journey.
- Preparing assessment planning activities of health and care apprentices, ensuring all aspects of the apprenticeship standard are met within a timely manner.
- Identifying and supporting Digital, Maths and English (Functional Skills) needs of apprentices, ensuring levels of attainment are met within a timely manner.
- Identifying and supporting the End Point Assessment (EPA) needs of apprentices, meeting such within a timely manner.
- Building and fostering effective working relationships with employers.
- Maintaining quality assurance procedures.
- Supporting the programme team in canvasing and recruiting new employers across health and care sector pathways.

**Where you’ll work**:
In this role, you’ll be based in the Nursing, Health Sciences team within the School of Health and Wellbeing, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth. The School of Health and Wellbeing is the largest school in the University, delivering a broad range of health programmes including courses leading to professional registration, healthcare apprenticeships and a portfolio of CPD and short courses at UG and PG levels. We launched our new suite of programmes from January 2023, all in partnership with our valued employers across the integrated care system (ICS). We are seeking to recruit passionate individuals to join our growing team to support the delivery of these exciting developments.

Our current hybrid working policy means you can work from home or on campus, but you will be required to maintain both strong campus and practice-based links and be available on-site or in practice at least 3 days per week.
