Heroes Berkshire provides learning experiences for children/young people who struggle in main stream education for a variety of reasons.

On our Therapeutic Farm we offer children and young people the chance to engage in Animal Care, Outdoor learning, arts and crafts, horse leadership and farm work, to help them build self esteem and confidence through working hands on with all our wonderful animals at our Farm.

We are located in Holyport Berkshire just off the junction 8/9 of the M4.

We are looking for Learning Mentors to join our small team, you will need to be confident with animals and enjoy a varied approach to support young people to learn. Our learning is often outside so you need to enjoy being outdoors in all seasons.

Our learning packages for children include,
- Animal care
- Equine sessions (there will be a trained Equine specialist leading this)
- Arts and crafts
- Independence skills
- Farm work
- . Growing plants
- Observing Nature
- Playing board games

Our aim at Heroes Berkshire is to provide children and young people with a therapeutic environment where they feel safe to explore their emotions, learn through hands on experiences and thrive with positive relationships.

We are looking for people who ares confident, ares fun to be around but have firm boundaries, you will need to be adaptable, resilient, self-aware, and attuned.

Someone who enjoys being with children and can provide an enriched and thriving environment where they feel safe and secure and feel able to express themselves.

We need reliable and consistent learning mentors who are willing to think outside the box for children who have complex issues such as learning difficulties, ASD, attachment disorder and other diagnoses and past trauma which may affect the way they learn.

**We are looking for people who would like to do one or two days a week on the farm or maybe more. This could be discussed in the interview.**
