About Us:
Red Snapper are working with a well-established leading charity in Coventry, providing free dedicated BAME multilingual support, advice, advocacy, and safe refuge for victims and their families affected by domestic abuse, sexual abuse, or gendered abuse.
About the Role:
As an Outreach Domestic Abuse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing high-quality support services for women and children affected by domestic abuse. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading casework and providing specialist support to victims, ensuring their needs are addressed effectively.
Coordinating referrals and liaising with the community team to provide proactive services.
Responding to safeguarding concerns in accordance with CHWA policies, including Child Protection and MARAC referrals.
Addressing barriers faced by diverse communities when accessing support.
Embracing flexibility and working out-of-hours or at night, understanding the nature of the role.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
Experience working with BME communities facing domestic violence.
Previous work within social care/welfare settings and experience following safeguarding guidelines for children and vulnerable adults.
Qualified within the relevant field with in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation.
Fluent in English and at least one main BME language.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise and organise workload.
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
