As with many other Boroughs in the capital, tackling homelessness is a high priority and we are looking for one highly motivated, member of staff to join our growing and friendly team of Procurement and Lettings Solution Officers.

Your key priorities will be to secure accommodation to aid in the prevention of homelessness, providing applicants with housing options in the private sector and assisting in maintaining a healthy supply of affordable temporary accommodation.

You will source new business to increase the supply of properties by building relationships with landlords, agents, and developers alike under the Council’s Leasing and Lettings Schemes. This role will involve property inspections and landlord liaison as well as the possibility of occasionally offering support to colleagues within the team who focus on tenancy sustainment.

You will be joining a busy and hardworking team during a time of transformational change where every day offers an opportunity to make a positive difference.

- Are you a strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills?
- Able to set and achieve personal targets that make an impact on team performance and efficiency?
- First rate problem solver and able to use own initiative?
- Give advice Landlords advice in line with legislation?
- Able to be communicate effectively with a range of people, particularly landlords?
- Knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, including Suitability of Accommodation.
- Able to deliver excellent customer care skills with an ability to mediate and resolve challenges?
