Our Content Team are the beating heart of Bauer’s editorial teams - the people creating the best content to keep our audiences coming back for more. The team are super-focused on audience need and use data and the latest intelligence to ensure their content is delivered to delight our readers, whatever the channel or brand it is delivered on.

**The focus of your role**:
The Section Editor will help plan the content, develop story ideas, work closely with Real Life Commissioning Editors, supervise writers and/or researchers, set deadlines and manage the workflow process by the effective delegation of tasks.

They will also inspire the writers to source their own real life material, and support them in chasing and signing up of case studies.

**Role Responsibility**:

- To support the writers with story chasing - to know immediately what makes a great real-life story and how much Bauer should pay for it; to have the speed and tenacity to beat the competition and sign up the interviewee.
- Responsibility for delivering all Real Life content across multiple brands to agreed standard
- Line manage writers (ensuring L&D in place - actively mentoring)
- Co-planning across channels with Brand teams
- Development of content ideas and content creation
- Work with Commissioning Editors on content required
- Ensure team output to agreed quality legals, readbacks, photos ready using WW assets
- Ensure writers have the capability to write to fit and the process reduces reworks
- To consider potential for cascading in-house stories across the real-life portfolio and beyond.
- Creative thinkers - able to operate across brands
- Understanding user need, via data if necessary, to ensure content is correctly focused
- Multi-channel journalists - able to create content for any platform, focused on audience need (print, digital, video, app, membership services in future)
