The service provides psychological therapies to older people in the community presenting with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss adjustment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a supportive and well-established Older Adult Primary Care Psychological Therapies team. We are a small but friendly team consisting of counsellors, psychologists, occupational therapy and a mental health nurse practitioner. The service is community based providing home visits and clinic appointments.
Under supervision, the post will involve direct clinical work conducting psychological assessments, structured therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, service promotion, audit and service development related activities.
Within the organisation there are a number of assistant psychologists working with older people. The Trust also has a strong network of assistant psychologists with regular opportunities for training and professional development. The older adult psychology team also have strong links to the three local Doctorate training courses, and regularly have trainees on placement.
