**Job Description**:

- The Tax Technology team plays a crucial role in delivering our vision to be a world class tax function, with the effective use of technology, automation and data analytics underpinning our future state global process designs and ways of working..

This role will lead the delivery of key tax technology initiatives linked to the Group Tax technology strategy and transformation agenda. In this global role, the Tax Technology Specialist will support the Tax Technology & Transformation Principal in the design of the future state tax technology landscape, and implementation of strategic technology, data and automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Proactively identify and prioritise opportunities to drive forward the global tax technology and data strategy.
- Lead the design and implementation of optimised, data driven and technology enabled global tax processes.
- Lead the selection, implementation and roll-out of global tax technology, data and analytics solutions to support future state processes.
- Lead the development of tax requirements for a new globally standardised Chart of Accounts and supporting Finance Information Model.
- Partner with IM and Finance teams (global and local) to identify tax data sources and data flows across the Anglo American finance systems landscape, perform tax data diagnostics and reconciliations, and drive continuous improvement of tax data quality, availability and governance.
- Collaborate with IM and Finance teams to design and implement a standardised global data staging and reporting solution to ensure consistency and enable automated reporting of tax-relevant data.
- Develop technology and data skills within the Group Tax team, equipping teams with data analytics and visualisation tools required to deliver value to the business through data insights, opportunity identification, tax forecasting and scenario modelling.

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of tax and finance technologies, including SAP, systems of tax reporting, tax compliance and analytics
- Experience in designing, implementing, configuring and working with financial and/or tax systems
- Data modelling, analytics and visualisation experience
- Knowledge of tax principles and transfer pricing principles

Ability to:

- Identify opportunities to deploy technology to deliver efficiency, effectiveness and control to meet the defined business requirements.
- Communicate effectively with Information Technologists regarding tax requirements
- Communicate effectively with business leaders regarding the Technological possibilities
