**Salary**: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

As the **Senior Procurement Executive, **you will source suppliers and develop relationships to negotiate and buy goods, materials and services to meet the Company's operational requirements. This will include supporting the Head of Procurement with supplier selection, tendering and cost estimating. Day to day management of all procurement activities relating to; Material Purchases, Bought-Out Parts and all other consumable & non-consumable purchases. You will be working to the parameters of budgetary requirements and supporting the Head of Procurement in determining overall purchasing strategy.
- Purchasing and Cost Estimating activities across the business
- Help create and implement best practice purchasing strategies, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
- Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets, which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take the necessary action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
- Contribute to overall business strategy and annual 'Budget Confirmation' process
- Support with the negotiation of contract terms with key suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders if appropriate
- Assist in crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms
- Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects
- Review environmental strategies that impact on future ways of operating and ensure implementation where possible to be as environmentally friendly as possible
- Review the use of technological systems that support a more environmentally friendly approach

To be successful in this role of **Senior Procurement Executive **we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

- Preferably a Member of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)
- Demonstrable experience of working within a purchasing function
- Knowledge and technical understanding of aerospace processes and components and supply chain management
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
- Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
- Commercially and financially astute
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
- Proven contract management and supplier experience
- Computer literate, especially in Excel skills / Mapics XA or similar
