As our HR Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a broad role together with leaders and colleagues. You’ll provide high-quality support and deliver the end-to-end employment lifecycle, utilising your expertise in key areas such as performance, employee relations, compliance, and training to support people leaders to execute successfully on business objectives.
As our HR Assistant, you will be a strong contributor to the development of leaders and co-workers, providing HR expertise while ensuring that the HR strategies are put into practice in the most effective and efficient way.
In a newly formed HR team you will have a key role in positioning and developing the approach together with the HR Manager, providing you with ample opportunity to grow and develop.
**Role summary**
- Provide support to leaders and employees on various HR and employee relation related matters such as absences, compensation, policy interpretation and in resolving questions that may arise.
- Provide support to leaders in recruitment, onboarding, termination, and records maintenance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and programs in areas such as learning & development, performance and change management.
- Assist in compiling and reporting accurate HR data as required to support Group wide KPIs.
- Assist with day-to-day operations and administration of the HR function.
- Provide ad hoc executive assistant support directly to the Forterro Chief People Officer.

**Your profile**
- At least 1-2-year experience in a HR position.
- Understanding of UK employment legislation.
- Cultural awareness and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, comfortable to work in a fast paced (transformative) environment.
- High levels of initiative and commitment to change enablement.
- A customer-focused outlook with a high level of discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
