The Community Activator Coach (CAC) has an important role to play in improving the health and wellbeing of children, families and communities by delivering fun, inclusive and engaging activities that help to bring about a change in physical activity habits.

The CAC apprentice will plan, deliver and reflect on delivery of sport and activity opportunities within a school, local community or sports organisation.

Key aspects of the role include:

- Delivery of a range of interventions to support targeted pupil learning
- Support the delivery of PE lessons
- Lead extra-curricular activities
- Run/Organise and support physical activity and engagement at break and lunch times
- Run/organise intra school competitions
- Assist with school games competitions
- Use of technology to engage pupils with physical activity and sports

**Training to be Provided**
- Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship Standard
- Sector specific CPD, such as;
- Supporting the PE curriculum
- Behaviour Management
- Practical PE Curriculum
- Gymnastics
- Dance
- Safeguarding / Prevent
- Mental Health and Wellbeing
- Functional skills in Maths and English (where required)

**Duration of Programme - 15 months**

**£5.28 per hour for the initial 12 months**

- Working directly with pupils across all key stages
- Working collaboratively with a wide range of partner organisations in the area of PE and Sport
- Provide PE department support
- Planning programmes of activity for pupils, families and communities
- Performing physical activity and fundamental movement skills baseline and impact assessments of pupils
- Support the delivery of PE lessons to pupils
- Support the delivery of a rich and exciting extracurricular sports and activity programme
- Delivering lunchtime activities
- Offering family engagement projects for physical activity
- Implementing strategies to achieve 30mins of activity objectives
- Coordination of Play Leaders programme
- Supporting competitive sports events at school, MAT and regional levels

**Qualifications - **GCSE: English & Maths or Functional Skills Level 2

- Birmingham, West Midlands: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Sports coaching: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
