You will lead the practice-based learning team in the development and delivery of practice-based learning experiences, simulation and student-led service learning experiences. Supporting the Academic Strategic Lead and Dean of School you'll have delegated line management responsibilities for practice-based learning lecturers and any other delegated sub team and assume accountability for their performance. This will involve effectively developing and deploying staff and co-ordinating the work of the teams.

Degree qualified in either Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy or Dietetics and with an appropriate professional registration, you'll be experienced in virtual and real Practice based learning in a University setting and be a competent leader. A relationship builder, you will have led and actively participated in internal/external networks, professional bodies, committees, national working groups and external partnerships.

Salary on first appointment is normally to the bottom of the scale, although in exceptional circumstances an appointment further up the scale may be considered.

**RESPONSIBLE TO**: Academic Strategic Lead.

**RESPONSIBLE FOR**: Assistant Project Officer and Practice-based learning lecturers.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES**:
Oversee the development of practice based learning experiences, simulation and student-led service learning experiences, ensuring appropriate consultation and liaison with relevant stakeholders, including clinical partners, academic colleagues, students and other partners.

Undertake responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and future developments of the practice-based lecturing team i.e., in line with the School Strategic Plan.

Contribute to the co-ordination and compilation of School level reports for practice-based learning and liaise with key stakeholders.

Attend and contribute to local and national meetings regarding virtual practice-based learning and simulation.

Delegated line management responsibility of practice-based learning lecturers, appraising staff performance including EPRs, day-to-day management (timetabling, workload allocation, annual leave approval, sick leave processes etc.).

Ensure the team are effectively communicated with in terms of wider School information.

Undertake responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and future developments in line with the School Strategic Plan.

Carry out teaching (e.g. via lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, laboratory work, field trips, practicals etc.), and associated assessment duties, or as otherwise required by the Dean of School/Academic Strategic Lead.

Participate in the promotion and marketing of the School and its courses to local, national and international clients, including student recruitment activities.

Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate practical projects. Engage with other staff in and out with the University, in research and professional activities relevant to the post.

Provide academic and personal guidance for students.

Perform other duties as assigned by the either Dean of School or Academic Strategic Lead.
