Grade 7 Salary Scale: £36,386 - 42,155
Grade 8 Salary Scale: £43,414 - 51,805
Salary on appointment will be dependent upon experience.

**RESPONSIBLE TO**: Dean of School

**RESPONSIBLE FOR**: No supervisory responsibility

**PURPOSE OF POST**: Primarily to support delivery of undergraduate courses. Some additional support across the other undergraduate courses within the School may be required.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES**:
Contribute to the teaching and assessment of biomedical/biological and/or nutrition skills in an academic and laboratory environment.

Contribute to the development of teaching and assessment of biomedical/biological and/or nutrition as part of a team.

Utilise technology to support and enhance learning.

Be responsible for Health and Safety requirement for staff and students within laboratory settings.

Assist in planning of laboratory practical exercises and effective utilisation of resources. Undertake appropriate professional development.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Strategic Lead or Dean of School.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**

**Qualifications and Professional Memberships**

First degree in a biomedical science, biological science, nutrition, or related field.

**Knowledge**

Knowledge of learning and teaching approaches related to biomedical science, biological science and/or nutrition.

**Experience**

Previous demonstrating/lecturing experience

**DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS**

MSc or PhD in a related discipline.

Membership of appropriate professional bodies
