Following recent expansion, an innovate manufacturer of precision complex components has a new vacancy for an Operations Manager. With proven leadership skills, you will have previous experience working in highly regulated fast paced manufacturing / engineeringenvironment and be committed to driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency,

**Commutable from: Leicester, Loughborough, Coventry, Hinckley, Nottingham, Derby.**

**Salary: £ 45,000 - £ 60,000 + benefits**

**Suitable for: Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Business Unit Manager, Production Manager, Shift Manager.**

**The Role**

Manage, coach and develop the manufacturing team

Be accountable for production, financial performance and on time delivery

Ensure the target productivity level is achieved

Identify talent and develop team

Drive process improvements and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)

Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects

Consistently promote high standards by leading by example

Identify and complete training and development needs to achieve greater flexibility and improve the skill base.

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures

Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation.

Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance

Experience working in a highly regulated and fast-paced complex manufacturing environment. (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Energy)

Degree educated or equivalent qualification (preferred, not essential)

A good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Lean Methodology.

Excellent management qualities and lead by example ethos.

A high level of professionalism and integrity.

Excellent communication skills written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation.

Hands on problem solver.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.
