Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for **Senior Fundraising Communications and Marketing Officer **to join our Communications & Marketing team based in London.

This is a 12 month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension with a closing date of TBC

**About us**

We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037_._

Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.

Centrepoint’s Communications and Marketing team is responsible for all external and internal communications - and they also look after Centrepoint’s exciting new brand. The team is made up of five unique functions, which include media, digital media, internal communications, brand and design. The Media team aims to increase our profile and raise awareness of key issues relating to youth homelessness through coverage on television, radio, newspapers and magazines. Our Digital Media team connects to audiences through our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) and our website. They also connect with staff through internal comms and work with young people on sharing their stories, which are used in Centrepoint’s marketing and campaigning efforts.

The Fundraising Strategy & Operations Team deliver the Fundraising strategy (and associated strategies) and provide high quality operations to support the Fundraising Directorate. The team has a variety of different functions including Supporter Care, Strategic Liaison with Service teams, Compliance, Supporter Journeys and Communications as well as general administration. The team deliver small and large scale process and systems projects to ensure fundraisers can focus on excellent relationships with donors and supporters.

**About you**
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written - with close attention to detail.
- An understanding of the principles and needs of brand and fundraising in charities
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent copywriting skills and experience
- Project Management understanding
- Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly listening skills, tact, diplomacy and assertiveness
- Positive attitude, ability to think creatively and identify new opportunities.
- Respectful and empathetic, always considering the impact on our young people.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Be the brand point of contact for the fundraising department working closely to manage brand approvals, coordinate feedback in a timely fashion.
- Develop and manage internal communications for FR, including a weekly newsletter to ensure all staff have all the internal information they need to perform well.
- Support the Strategic Liaison Manager with the development and continual improvement of the Fundraising Knowledge Hub and the Centrepoint Asset Hub.
- So support with aligning all Centrepoint messaging across Fundraising, ensuring themes are used in the agreed way and at the right time in all supporter communications.
